What is Seerty?
Seerty is a free online resume builder. You can create a resume from scratch, pick a template, or import an existing resume, then edit everything in your browser and export a polished PDF when you are ready.
Is Seerty really free?
Yes. Building and editing resumes is always free, and every new account gets 1 export credit on signup. If you need more exports, you can buy a paid plan. Create an account on the register page to get started.
What does "one export" mean?
One export is a single PDF download of a resume. 1 credit is consumed per export download. The free tier includes 1 export, and paid plans provide more exports.
Do my exports or credits expire?
No. Export credits never expire, and balances are additive: each purchase adds to your existing balance. The Unlimited plan is never charged for exports.
What paid plans exist?
Starter $5 = 5 exports. Professional $20 = 25 exports. Unlimited $50 = unlimited exports, one-time payment, lifetime access. See the pricing page for details. Purchases are eligible for a full refund only within 3 days of purchase and only if none of the purchased export credits or entitlements were consumed; orders older than 3 days, or where any paid feature has been used, are not refundable. Is this a subscription?
No. All purchases are one-time PayPal orders. There is no recurring billing, no auto-renewal, and no cancellation needed. See our terms for details.
How do promo codes work?
Promo codes give a percentage discount at checkout. Enter your code on the pricing and checkout flow before completing your one-time order. Each code can be used once per account.
How do referrals work?
Every account has a personal referral code in the format SEERTY-XXXXXX on the Settings page. Share it using the Copy button. A new user enters it in the optional referral field at signup on the register page. When they buy their first paid plan, they get +1 bonus export credit automatically. The referrer earns nothing, and there is one bonus per referred account. It is a code, not a link.
What AI features are available?
AI features are available on paid plans, plus 1 AI resume import per month on the free tier (AI writing needs a paid plan). Paid plans include: (1) Generate summary, which writes a 2–4 sentence professional summary from your resume draft; (2) Refine text, which rewrites text you supply — consolidating overlap, removing duplication, organizing points, professionalizing tone; and (3) AI resume import, which parses an uploaded PDF or TXT file into a draft and falls back to rule-based parsing if AI is unavailable (imports beyond your monthly AI allowance use rule-based parsing). LinkedIn imports are free for everyone: your LinkedIn PDF is read by our built-in LinkedIn parser, with no account or plan needed.
What are the AI limits?
Free allows 1 AI import/month (no AI writing). Starter allows 5/month + 10/day. Professional allows 20/month + 50/day. Unlimited allows unlimited imports + 200/day. Quotas reset monthly and daily, and the AI import quota is only charged on successful extraction.
How is the ATS score calculated?
The ATS score is a free in-browser 0–100 checklist shown at the top of the editor sidebar and recomputed live as you edit. Weights: contact info 15 (name, email, and phone at 5 each), professional summary 15 (needs 200–600 characters), experience 25 (entries with job titles, companies, and detailed descriptions with measurable results), education 15, skills 15 (5+ skills for full marks), and extras 15 (projects, certifications, languages, and links). Bands: Strong at 80+, Getting there at 50–79, and Needs work below 50. It is a heuristic completeness checklist only, not a real applicant-tracking-system parse, and there is no guarantee of employer ATS results.
How do I import my resume or LinkedIn?
When you start a new resume, choose the import option. Upload a PDF or TXT file (10MB max) to prefill a draft — including the PDF you can download from LinkedIn (profile → More → Save to PDF), which we read with our built-in LinkedIn parser. Imports are free and need no account; sign in whenever you want to save the result. Scanned PDFs without a text layer are rejected.
Can I change my resume's template or colors?
Yes. In the editor you can switch between templates and change the accent color of your resume at any time. Your content stays intact, so you can experiment with different looks without starting over.
Is my data private?
Yes. Your resumes are scoped to your account, and we do not sell your personal data. For full details on what we collect and how we use it, see our privacy policy.
How do I delete my account or data?
